ONNA-BUGEISHA
The Onna-Bugeisha were female samurai warriors from Japan's past, often shown with the makeup of a geisha while being fully prepared for battle in colorful armor. They were woman of strength and beauty, courage and ferocity, honor and dignity.
The armor these women wore was intricate and each piece individually named, each with a meaning. Looks for this RTW collection represent each piece of the armor and the symbolism behind them.
"New eras don't come about because of swords, they're created by the people who wield them"
